Terms of Service
Last updated 18 August 2026
1. Who these terms are between
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and White Banger Tech Private Limited ("Future Disha", "we", "us"), the operator of the Future Disha platform. By creating an account or using Future Disha, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.

Future Disha is used by two kinds of account: freelancers, who offer their services, and clients, who hire freelancers for a project. Some sections of these Terms apply to one or the other; where they do, we say so.
2. What Future Disha is, and what it isn't
Future Disha is a marketplace that helps freelancers and clients find each other, agree on a scope of work, track that work through milestones, and pay for it. We are not a party to the agreement a freelancer and client reach with each other — that agreement (the scope, price, timeline, and deliverables) is between them.
Future Disha is not an employer, staffing agency, or recruiter. Freelancers on Future Disha are independent contractors, not employees of Future Disha or of the clients who hire them. Future Disha does not supervise, direct, or control how a freelancer performs their work.
Future Disha does not hold, escrow, or take custody of client funds. When a client pays a milestone, that payment is made directly to the freelancer through our payment partner. Future Disha takes its fee from the freelancer's side of that payment, as described in Section 5.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract under Indian law to use Future Disha. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Freelancers may complete KYC verification (identity document upload) to receive a verified badge on their profile. This is optional but recommended — it helps clients make an informed hiring decision.
4. How work happens on the platform
A client posts a job. A freelancer sends a proposal. If the client accepts a proposal, the job moves forward and the freelancer and client agree on milestones — discrete pieces of work with their own amount and, usually, a due date.
A client only pays a milestone after reviewing and approving it. This is the main protection built into how Future Disha works: nothing is paid until the client has seen the work and agreed it's acceptable. For hourly work, time is logged and visible to the client as it happens, and can be reviewed before it's billed.
5. Fees and payment
Future Disha charges freelancers a platform fee, currently 5–8% of each paid milestone, deducted automatically at the moment a payment is marked paid. Clients do not pay any platform fee — a client pays exactly the amount agreed with the freelancer, no more.
Payments are processed through a regulated payment gateway partner. Future Disha does not store your card, UPI, or bank account details — that information is handled directly by the payment gateway under its own terms and security standards.
Freelancers are responsible for their own tax obligations, including GST (if registered) and income tax on amounts earned through the platform. Future Disha is not a party to the tax relationship between a freelancer and a client, and does not deduct TDS on a client's behalf.
6. Payment Protection (optional add-on)
Freelancers may opt in, for a fee shown before purchase, to Payment Protection on a specific job. It is entirely optional and does not change how escrow or milestones work.
Who provides the cover. Payment Protection is insurance provided by the insurance partner named on the policy document, not by Future Disha. Future Dishaarranges the policy and administers claims on the partner's behalf; the obligation to pay a claim is the insurance partner's, under its policy wording.
When a claim is paid. A claim is paid only after verification that the services were actually provided, and only up to what the contract signed by both the freelancer and the business owner on Future Disha says. Verification looks at the signed contract, the job's WorkRoom (messages, files, tasks) and milestone records. Work that was not delivered, was delivered outside the platform, or is not covered by the signed contract is not eligible.
The covered amount can never exceed the value of the job or the signed contract, whichever is lower. The protection fee is non-refundable once the policy is active.
7. Liability for the work itself
This is the section that matters most, so we're stating it plainly.
When a client reviews a freelancer's profile, portfolio, and proposed price and terms, and chooses to hire that freelancer, that is the client's own decision. Future Disha does not vet, guarantee, or take responsibility for the quality, accuracy, legality, or outcome of the work a freelancer produces. Future Disha is not liable for any loss, damage, or dissatisfaction arising from work that a freelancer delivers, except as described below.
Much of the work done through Future Disha is creative or judgment-based — design, writing, development approach, and similar fields where reasonable people can legitimately disagree about whether a result is "good." A client and freelancer disagreeing on the creative merit of delivered work is not, by itself, something Future Disha adjudicates or is liable for. That disagreement is exactly what milestone approval exists to manage: if delivered work doesn't meet what was agreed, the client's primary recourse is to not approve that milestone, request revisions, or end the engagement before paying further milestones.
Where Future Disha does step in is non-performance — a freelancer being paid for a milestone and not delivering the agreed work at all, or a client otherwise being defrauded through the platform. In that case, either party can raise a dispute (see Section 8). If a dispute over a paid milestone is resolved in the client's favor, Future Disha's remedy is to reverse that amount from the freelancer's platform earnings. Future Disha does not currently hold a separate fund to issue cash refunds independent of that reversal, and does not guarantee a reversed amount will be recoverable if the freelancer has already withdrawn it.
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Future Disha's total liability to any user for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the platform feesFuture Disha actually collected on the job or transaction the claim relates to. Future Disha is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including lost business or lost profits.
8. Disputes between a freelancer and a client
Either party can raise a dispute on a job from the project page, or open a general support case at /support. Our team reviews disputes and works to resolve them — see our Grievance Redressal page for how to escalate a complaint and expected response times.
9. Cancellation
A job can be cancelled before all its milestones are paid. Work that's already been approved and paid isn't affected by a cancellation — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the full detail.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information about yourself or your work.
- Attempt to move a client relationship formed on Future Disha off-platform in order to avoid the platform fee, before the first paid milestone on that relationship.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against another user.
- Use the platform to violate any applicable law.
- Attempt to access another user's account, or interfere with the platform's normal operation.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, and may remove content that violates them.
11. Intellectual property
Ownership of work product created by a freelancer for a client is a matter for the freelancer and client to agree between themselves — typically, ownership transfers to the client on full payment, but Future Disha doesn't impose this and isn't a party to that agreement. The Future Disha platform itself, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by White Banger Tech Private Limited and may not be copied or reused without permission.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll give notice through the platform or by email before it takes effect. Continued use of Future Disha after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that can't be resolved through our grievance process is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts having jurisdiction over White Banger Tech Private Limited's registered office.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to prikshit@futuredisha.com, or through Support if you have an account. For a formal complaint, see Grievance Redressal, contact prikshit@futuredisha.com.
