Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how White Banger Tech Private Limited ("Future Disha", "we", "us"), the operator of the Future Disha platform, collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the platform. It's written to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules — under that Act, Future Disha is a Data Fiduciary and you, as a user, are a Data Principal.
2. What we collect
We collect the personal data you'd expect for a freelance marketplace:
- Account information: your name, email, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), and role (freelancer or client).
- Profile information: skills, portfolio, hourly rate, bio, and any other details you choose to add to your public profile.
- Verification information: if you choose to complete KYC, the identity document you upload and its verification status. This is stored separately from your public profile and is never publicly visible.
- Tax information: for freelancers, PAN and GSTIN (if registered), used only to generate accurate invoices.
- Job and transaction data: jobs posted, proposals sent, messages, milestones, invoices, and payment records.
- Usage data: how you use the platform — pages visited, features used — collected to improve the product and diagnose problems.
We do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank account details. Payments are processed directly by our regulated payment gateway partner, under its own privacy and security terms.
3. Why we collect it
We process your personal data to:
- Create and run your account, and provide the core features of the platform.
- Show your public profile to other users, if you're a freelancer.
- Facilitate messaging and project work between a hired freelancer and client.
- Generate invoices, process milestone payments, and calculate the platform fee.
- Verify identity where you've opted into KYC.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Send you notifications and emails about your account and activity.
- Meet our own legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
Where a feature uses adaptive learning technology (for example, drafting a proposal or an invoice from a conversation), the content you provide for that feature is sent to a third-party service provider solely to generate the requested output, and is not used to train that provider's models beyond what's needed to serve the request.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where it's necessary to run the platform:
- With the other party on a job — a client and the freelancer they've hired can see each other's relevant information (name, messages, milestones) for that job.
- With our payment gateway partner, to process a payment you initiate.
- With our cloud infrastructure, database, and email-delivery providers, solely to operate the platform — they process data on our instructions and don't use it for their own purposes.
- With law enforcement or regulators, only where required by Indian law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Future Disha or our users.
We do not sell personal data.
5. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Ask us to erase your personal data, subject to our legal obligation to retain some records (for example, invoices and payment history, for tax purposes).
- Withdraw consent you previously gave, where processing is based on consent.
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf, in the event of your death or incapacity.
- Register a complaint about how we've handled your data.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at prikshit@futuredisha.com. You can also do this yourself, without emailing anyone, from Settings → Your data: download a complete copy of your data as a JSON file, see every consent you have given or withdrawn, and schedule your account for deletion. Deletion takes effect after a 7-day grace period during which you can cancel; after that, everything that identifies you is erased, and only the financial records we are legally required to keep remain, no longer linked to your name.
6. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active, plus a further period needed to meet our legal obligations — for example, financial and tax records are kept for the period required under Indian tax law, even after an account is closed.
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technology to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls so a user can only see the data they're entitled to, and restricted internal access. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security — if we become aware of a data breach that affects you, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
9. Children's data
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll notify you through the platform or by email before it takes effect.
